Meals4Kids

Our Meals4Kids program was inspired by Colin’s Family who brought a hot home cooked meal during their first in-patient stay at the hospital.  The first meal was donated by Doody’s of North Branford and was delivered to the Yale in-patient families on Christmas day of 2011.  The program continues to evolve as we team up with local restaurants to provide families going through cancer treatment with a nutritious meal.  Recently we added a snack bag to the program which is independent of the meal and contains a variety of snacks and drinks for in-patient families.

Words from a Mom who received a meal:  “My son is on 7-3 of Yale Peds.  We received your care package yesterday – amazing, caring, classy – it was wonderful.  I was extremely touched as I was alone with my son on Easter.  Thank you for brightening up our day and doing what you do.  It was impressive.”

• Sponsor a meal or snack
• Recruit a restaurant sponsor
• Volunteer to deliver a meal or snack distribution
